rug "mountains"

Yarriabini

(Four sides of the mountain)
by Chris (Wirriimbi) Edwards

Yarriabini means bear rolling down the hill. The two tribes, Dunghutti in
the south and Gumbaynggir in the north, fought over this mountain many years
ago.

rug "rivers"

Bindarray
(River) Series
by Chris (Wirriimbi) Edwards

Nambucca Heads where I come from, is made up of many intricate river systems
that provide Koori people with fish for our tucker.

rug "oyster"

Barriin Gulaany (Oyster Creek)
by Chris (Wirriimbi) Edwards

Oyster Creek is a very significant place for my people. The circle is the spirit caretaker of the land and he sits on the hill watching over the land.

rug "sands"

Ngaluurr Giduurr
(Tidal Sands)
by Fabri Blacklock

The tides bring in the fish we eat for our tucker. They also create beautiful patterns by shifting the sands that create our costal landscape.
